In an effort to broaden access to live dance performance and remove some of the most common barriers to attendance including time, cost, location, and accessibility, all performances of "Journey to the Land of the Sweets: A Nutcracker Tale" will be free to attend with a "pay what you can" donation option.

We have also included a sensory sensitive performance for audiences who may require a gentler viewing experience. Our "Sensory Friendly Sweets" production is an abbreviated show with lower stage lighting and sound levels, gentle ambient lighting in the theater, and designated quiet spaces for audience members who may need a break from the performance.​

"Journey to the Land of the Sweets: A Nutcracker Tale" is a professional quality ballet production performed entirely by student dancers. As a 501(c)3 not-for -profit organization and SSDC relies wholly on community donations and sponsorships to fund this project.
